Kyomatchi, Ebino city - a tiny town, which hosts 250000 visitors to thier annual weekend market this time every year.
Like old Japan, that real Asian feeling, the rain dampened festivities a little, but, nice hot food and drink and an onzen and the leisurely drive is worth the effort.
Let's get out and enjoy!

When we look at it, our very language seems to indicate that we and our bodies are separate.
"my body" denotes an I that owns a body.
After all our body changes on a cellular level at a cycle of our around every 7 years-that is not a single cell of our body 7 years ago remains with us today. If the body was us we are never a single unit.
If the body is not us and we truly realize this reality then freedom is ours!
All worries, fears, hindrances to joy and freedom are due to our excessive attachment and obsession with this sack of flesh that seems to house or be driven by some other entity.
When we understand at the deepest level that this other unseen entity is not material or bound by physical restraints then liberty from all the possible anguishes that a body cherishing life entails.
Wake up! Be free! Know your being is one of light, unselfish, undying love, born from the source of all and never separate from it!
Let's fly into the sky of infinite peace that is our home and shine the way for all who dwell in fear!

Can't complain (but sometimes I still do) - the immortal lead guitarist of the Eagles, Joe Walsh sings in his epic rock song regaling the life of a rockstar.
Living in Japan as foreigners it often feels like your a rock star with the easily won fame we acquire in our own little ponds and the lavishly laid out red carpets we are often the recipients of simply because of the color of our passports.
There's so much to be gracious for.
Today I went to do some copying at my local convience store and found I'd lost my prepaid debit card.
I was not at all worried when I asked the cashier if one had been handed in.
Sure enough one matching the receipt I had was returned to me.
I'd left there it on the copy machine a week earlier, unsigned.
Could of had any amount of points, charge etc. on it, can be used on machines and with no ownership checks, yet as I presumed it was there waiting for me to claim.
Now how many of us could boast that about our hometowns?
There's a lot to be said about peace of mind...
Next time you find yourself whinging about something here, let's stop and ask ourselves "why we are here?" If we haven't got more pros than cons then it's time to shut up and get out.
